the feather works, but the bottom scroll bar is messed up. i think it’s reusing the one from the side bar over and over again, so i get a weird look.

it needs some work, but i’m just so happy to finally have a Mac-like feather for my Linux pc that i really could care less how good it looks, as long as it completes my theme. thank you!

Hello! This by far the best skin now available for iTunes.

But i see some problems:
-the bottom scrollbar (all the world already did say that!)
–A dark pixel between left panel and main area at the top
–The active tab does not have enough “self-evidence” for the user to think it is the active.
–The downloads window seems “black text over black blackground”
–The buttons (except “New playlist”) have a very 2D appearance (example: Menu Tools > Create Extension…) which is not consistent with the main window.

With the tabs i can not assert “It’s a bug”. I will call it an usability issue. If you see Firefox or Opera browsers you will notice the active tab appearance on them seems to say “I am the active” tab more than in your skin.

Maybe if you give a more 3d appearance (Opera browser active tab is a good inspiration for “inflating” yours) to the active tab and keeping the other flat (they already are).

Removing the black line only below the active tab is also a good idea, but i don’t know if that is possible.

PS: BTW, there is something undesirable at the left side of the bottom scrollbar.

really appreciate this feather creation, one thing though…

previsited websites that appear in the browser url bar that are highlighted isn’t readable cuz it’s white on white if you get what im saying :P

Good work and i hope you have motivation for improving this skin
- I still see the black pixel
- The previous/play/next buttons have too much pixelized outlines (bad anti-aliasing?)
- The edit box on musics or in a new playlist is too small when edit a palylist name/music name
- The Open URL dialog box and the SkreemR search textbox denotes a rectangle over the round corners
- Is visible a horrible whiteline below the Browse button in the Import Library and New Subscription dialogs when the textbox at its left is focused (File Menu).
- There is something horrible at the left of the horizontal scrollbar (Main page and View source)
- View Source window as an horrible black square at its bottom right (same for Error Console window).
- Menu Tools > File Downloads : Text of the items become invisible when selecting one. Same for left column of Tools > XUL Periodic Table. The tabs in this window are horrible.
- Menu View > Character Encoding > Customize List: The buttons Move Up/Move Down/Remove seem like stamps and not like buttons (same for other dialogs with buttons. Example: in the Options and Software Update).
- The Javascript debugger has several “black text over dark gray” items
- The Javascript Environment window has buttons that seem like text boxes
- DOM Inspector: when inspecting a page the text and background color combination of the list items turns the text unreadable.
- The Clear Private Data window: When an item is selected, is difficult to see due to the low contrast of the selection box (same for other dialogs with checkboxes. Example: in the Options).

- When shrinking the top area the colour does not match the main background. and the playback buttons are very large.
- In View source > Print Preview the size of scrollbars is unbelievably large.
- In View source > Page Setup the tabs are horrible.

And this skin is not compatible with the 0.6 final version :(

Even if i have any idea about the way a songbird skin is made, i believe your working hard on that.
The black pixel is still visible in the 0.5 version but not in 0.6
I noted more bugs:
- The address bar dropdown list is white over white on the selected element
- There is an horrible black square at bottom right of webpages (confluence of scrollbars)
- The radio buttons are weird (Example: Tools > Options | Main)
- The spin box buttons are falling outside (Example: Tools > Options | Main)
- The hyperlink “View terms of use” is almost unreadable ( Tools > Options | Shoutcast) due to its colors. (May be it is needed to have the Shoutcast extension installed to see)
- When focusing a toolbar button with the pointer, the square is too high to display its bottom line.
I think i am not the only one very grateful to your skin. May be with some corrections it will be the preferred skin of songbird users.

OK, i made a new Version for 0.7 with a completely new style, but i have some troubles uploading it...Maybe the uploader is broken...

All the the disabled menus are fully white i.e First i thought that's a white space then i realized all the disabled menu items. Is this expected behavior?

it isnt working- i mean the play button, next, n previous buttons are not visible... and the entire area near the address bar is blank too.

i use song bird 0.7.0 build 716, in vista home premium.

When i search for updates for addons it says this feather has an update 5.1.2 but when i hit update it deletes the feather and i have to use the default UI. anyone else having this problem?

Just to let you know its still saying there is an update for 5.1.2 when i reinstalled the feather.

i just noticed this but i decided to hit update again just for the hell of it and found out that after agreeing to install the update it uninstalls iTunes feather and installs the addon .

The addon does not work properly on Songbird 1.0RC3 it seems check the link for image of what it looks like. (btw if there is any bug reporting options to addon can ya point me where to go :P new to most of this) in on Vista 64x if that means anything

oh and i forgot the update bug is fixed. it no longer uninstalls the feather...though now the feather just doesn't work at all :P

The skin still doesn't work in 1.0RC3 with the new version. When i switch to the feather it refreshes the UI but it keeps the default skin.
