Shows infos about current track using Snarl
Snarl is a Growl-like application for Windows. It displays nice alpha blended notifications for different alerts coming from different programs.
SongSnarl enables a notification for the current track in the moment when you change your track in Songbird. It also reacts on clicking on a popup with next track/pause/resume depending on which mouse key has been pressed and which alert type is displayed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Install Snarl (http://www.fullphat.net/) first - otherwise SongSnarl won't / can't display anything.

Look at http://tlhan-ghun.de/files/SongSnarl/songsnarl-0.1.2.xpi for a version with auto-update as well as SongBird 0.6-support
It doesn't work. Grr. I tried several times ><
Looks now the Songbird-Add-Ons page likes again my extension - so ignore my post three months ago :)
@dokueki: If version 0.3 is also not working - could you send me your error console and data about your Windows setup?
Doesn't work for me :(
Could you make this add-on work with Linux by allowing it to function with the Mumbles branch that works just like Snarl for Windows and the alternative for OSX?
@jonny5: sorry, I am specialized in programming for Snarl and fully booked with that (not only for SongSnarl ;)). But if you know someone who is good with Mumbles maybe we could work together...?
There is one thing that bothers me with an otherwise terrific add-on. Every time a song changes, the program opens and focuses on the Songbird window (I have isolated this problem to SongSnarl). It's pretty annoying when you e.g. are writing an article in Word and the usually minimized Songbird window pops up every three minutes or so. Please tend to this bug, because I love everything else about this add-on :)
@Lakrits: I tried to reproduce this behaviour here on my machine (Songbird 1.0RC2 and SongSnarl 0.4 and 0.4.1) and have not been able to. May I ask which version you are using? I can't find any place in my code where I could see that it would do something like this. Anyway I just uploaded 0.4.1 which has (besides %RATING% and %NEWLINE% some code cleanups by removing old files - could you try it with this new version and if the problem is there too please have a look at Tools-Error Console and have a look there if there are any suspicious entries)
Thx for using SongSnarl :)
@MozillaSnarls: Just updated and did a recheck through the add-ons (disabling them and let them run alone). It seems as I wrongly accused you for this, it's LyricMaster that creates this very annoying effect. I'm sorry for this unintentional trick-or-treat, rating reset to 5 stars! *blushes* :)
@Lakrits: Happy again ;)
